A: Today Speechki supports 76 languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, and many more.

Q: Is it possible to use multiple voices in a single audiobook?
A: Yes, it’s possible and it’s easy. Editors can control every detail of the audiobook production process and can choose a voice of either gender for each sentence or phrase. This also allows you to use different languages within a single audiobook.

Q: How much does it cost to create an AI-generated audiobook?
A: The price is in the range from $500 to $1,000, depending on the language of the book, the chosen voice and the volume of the book. Discounts are available with a subscription or an order of 10 audiobooks or more.

Q: How many employees are involved in the recording?
A: Only one person is needed: an editor or proof-listener.

Q: Can AI voices replace real narrators?
A: Absolutely not! We don’t want to replace human voices. Nothing can replace the experience of listening to a fantastic actor reading a book. And nothing will stop publishers from hiring them to do it, either!

Q: Is it true that robots don’t make mistakes?
A: A robot makes mistakes about as often as a human narrator. But when you are using a computer-generated narrator, the mistakes can be corrected when you find them using your mouse and keyboard.

Q: How many audiobooks have been recorded using Speechki so far?
A: We have produced almost 1,500 audiobooks so far, but we have been contracted for at least another 7,000 for clients.

Q: Is Speechki an all-in-one tool for audiobook recording?
A: Speechki is sticking to a partnership strategy with Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM, Yandex, and others. But it’s not just reselling. We really make them much better for audiobook production. Compared with raw text-to-speech solutions Speechki is 8 times more efficient, with high-speed proof-listening and with many fewer errors and mispronunciation.

Q: Is Speechki a standalone piece of software or a service provider?
A: Currently, we’re working as a service provider.

Q: Does robo-voice still sound creepy or not?
A: Modern technologies allow us to make AI-generated voices sound like human ones. According to the results of our quiz, only 7% of experts can distinguish between human and artificial voices

Q: How many titles should a publishing house have to start working with you?
A: It doesn’t matter if you have only ten titles or ten thousand titles, we would be happy to convert all your books into audio format. There is no minimum. But if you do have 10,000 titles that you need to convert, we would love to provide you a discount!

Q: Are you voice cloning?
A: Yes, but it’s a really expensive service. If a publishing house wants to record from 1,000 to 10,000 books with its own voice, it makes sense. But recording 10 books with a particular voice is cheaper with a human narrator.
